Mechanical Design Engineer berlin
We are currently seeking a creative and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and testing mechanical components, assemblies and systems for satellites. Our team is preparing for a CubeSat mission in Q4 2024, is designing a 16U. The focus of the job will be a support of mechanical design for the German Orbital Systems 3U, 6U and 12U based CubeSats as well as design of a bigger satellite platforms.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge of mechanics and engineering principles and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.Main responsibilities

Design of satellite mechanical components.

Design and construct mechanical components, assemblies and systems for satellite systems and subsystems.

Develop test plans and procedures to ensure quality and reliability of mechanical components and systems.

Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical problems and develop solutions.

Coordinate with other engineers and technicians to ensure successful completion of projects.

Rapid prototyping of mechanical components (3D printing)
-
Design of satellite testing equipment (MGSE).

2D engineering drawing preparation and cooperation with manufacturing companies

Simple structural calculations

Take a hands-on role with assembly, integration, and testing

Launch campaign support, launch site operations

Support on proposals by providing different concepts of mechanical components and CubeSat configurations.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Experience building mission-critical hardware and supporting hardware testing

Solid knowledge of the production elements, materials, manufacturing, mechanics of materials, structures, and mechanisms.

Experience preparing engineering drawings
-
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

2-years of experience in 3D modelling in SolidWorks

Hardware Engineer – Space Systems berlin
As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for development and testing of satellite subsystems from prototyping and design to manufacturing and testing. You will start with support of existing technical solutions with a focus on testing of electrical systems to the upcoming missions. Your area of responsibility will expand with new projects.
Main responsibilities
