  • Hardware Engineer – Space Systems berlin

    As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for development and testing of satellite subsystems from prototyping and design to manufacturing and testing. You will start with support of existing technical solutions with a focus on testing of electrical systems to the upcoming missions. Your area of responsibility will expand with new projects kicking off in summer 2022.

    Main responsibilities
    • Satellite subsystem design and prototyping, schematic capture, prototype bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification.

    • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving existing electrical designs.

    • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.

    • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.

    • Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects.

    • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.

    • Maintaining electrical equipment.

    • Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, aerospace, math, or science discipline or equivalent experience

    • 3+ years of experience with hardware development

    • 2+ years of experience with designing and implementing of analog, digital or mixed- signal circuit boards from concept through production

    • Hands-on experience using design and calculation software, Altium Designer knowledge

    • Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes

    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for the team's spirit

    • Hands on experience troubleshooting PCBs

    • A good attitude and team-oriented spirit

    • Excellent team-working skills

    Bonus skills
    • Experience handling expensive sensitive electronic components (Cleanroom best practices)

    • Proven expertise as an electrical engineer, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; MSc is a plus

  • Systems Engineer berlin
    Your Responsibilities in GOS:
    • Mission design for the GOS CubeSats

    • Mission and spacecraft system architecture and design.

    • Market Research for advanced technologies

    • Writing and preparing proposals

    • Coordinating technical activities with customers and suppliers.

    • Prepare documentation according to applied space engineering standards.

    • Technical involvement in all aspects of mission and spacecraft design, from requirement management to spacecraft integration and verification

    • Take a hands-on role with assembly, integration, and test.

    • Develop subsystems tests and full-system integration tests for our payloads and satellite buses.

    • Manage internal and external interfaces (payload, ground segment, launcher, etc)

    What should you bring to GOS?
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline

    • Previous experience in space systems engineering, spacecraft, and mission design

    • Experience with mission analysis tools like STK

    • Experience building mission-critical hardware and supporting remote hardware testing

    • Experience handling expensive electronic components (ESD and Cleanroom best practices)

    • Knowledge of ECSS

    • A good attitude and team-oriented spirit

    • Good communication skills in English & German (both written & spoken)

    Good to have:
    • Experience in proposal writing

    • Basic experience developing software for embedded hardware, especially in C++.

    • Provide experience for the design and implementation of embedded software systems and spacecraft onboard processing.

    • Write high quality structured bare metal software for embedded applications for space and ground segment for satellites missions.

    • Support and improve existing software and build/deploy/upgrade processes for embedded targets.

    Requirements:
